is about as good as computer Bible study gets.

Accordance is distributed by the Gramcord Institute. The institute supports and conducts the computer assisted study of biblical languages. The site is a mine of information.

Dispensational Sites

I have found that a dispensational approach to Scripture is very helpful. The following sites are dispensational, and hold to the Acts 28 position.

Chronology

A suitable chronology is fundamental to a historical understanding of the Old Testament. Here are some connections.

The Jerusalem Ancient History
Lisa Aaronson (Liel) has produced an excellent site, The Jerusalem Ancient History Home Page, where she discusses aspects of a revised chronology. Details of her approach are given in On the Care and Feeding of Revision Hypotheses.

Lisa has added a new site, The Jerusalem Chronology of the Israelite Monarchies. It is very much under construction at present, but she plans to expand it regularly in the near future.

A Test of Time
David Rohl has written an excellent book concerning chronology. It is outlined at A Test of Time. It is also referred to in Find Out for Yourself in the section concerning chronology.

Isis is an extensive source of information concerning Rohl's revision of chronology. There are pointers to many technical articles, reviews, etc.

Other Sites on Chronology
More thoughts on chronology can be found at A Chronological Revolution, a review of another book, Centuries of Darkness, which makes suggestions regarding chronological revision.

Catastrophism

None of these sites are Christian. Some of what they contain is irrelevant for Bible study. But they explain much about what underlies Velikovsky's ideas.

History and Archaeology

The following sites, relating to history and archaeology, do not in general pretend to have any Christian basis. They are listed as information sources only.

The Ancient World Web: The Ultimate Index of All Things Ancient
KMT: A Modern Journal of Ancient Egypt
Annual Egypt Bibliography HP
Reeder's Egypt Page
Egyptology Cambridge HP

Fonts

If you are going to delve into Hebrew and Greek you'll need some fonts.

There is general information about languages and fonts at Yamada Language Centre.

One good way to get fonts is to buy Accordance, and use its Hebrew and Greek fonts. These fonts work on most word processors and include vowel points in Hebrew, and all the accents in Greek. I have found nothing better on the Web

Alternatively, you can find some fonts at
Hebrew Fonts
Greek Fonts

If you are thinking about learning Hebrew then try Easy Hebrew .

There is also a New Testament Greek tutorial.

Hellenistic Greek is an interesting site.
